   Author Details

Author Name: Dhirendra Nath Bezboruah

A well known translator from Assamese literature, Dhirendra Nath Bezboruah has been a college teacher of English Literature and Linguistics and an educational administrator for a quarter century. In 1983 he became the founder editor of The Sentinel and continued in that capacity for twenty-two years. He has been active on both television and radio.
His published works include ‘An Anthology of English Prose’ and ‘An Anthology of English Poetry’ for the Mysore University in 1978. He has also translated Bengali poetry to English.
He has two daughters, a son and four grandchildren. He and his wife Kalpana live in Guwahati.
