Author Name: Devdutt Pattanaik

Devdutt Pattnaik was the third child of (late) Prafulla Kumar Pattanaik and Sabitri Pattanaik who migrated to Mumbai from Orissa nearly 50 years ago. He graduated in medicine from the Grant Medical College, Mumbai.
He spent 14 years working with companies such as SIRO (Clinical Medicine Executive), GoodhealthNyou.com,  Apollo Hospitals, Sanofi Aventis, and finally Ernst & Young as Manager in Business Advisory services.
But his passion has always been mythology and he has written and lectured extensively on relevance of sacred stories, symbols and rituals in modern times. He regularly writes in Economic Times, Times of India, First City Magazine (New Delhi) and Sunday Midday (Mumbai).
