Arindam Chaudhuri is the son of Dr Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri who founded the Indian Institute of Planning and Management in 1973. Arindam is the founder of the charity The Great Indian Dream Foundation and the Planman group of companies. Arindam received his Post Graduate Diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from The Indian Institute of Planning and Management in 1992 - a business school. Arindam Chaudhuri was awarded the Academic Gold Medal. He later joined IIPM on completion of the course, where he is currently the Honorary Dean for the IIPM Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies. He was appointed as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Planning Commission of India in 2004.
